Canberra's new projects offering quality and value to help city boom in 2015
Strong interest in new projects in the territory during 2014 is expected to continue next year.
New interest: Plenty of interest in new apartment buildings is expected in 2015.
From the outskirts of Gungahlin to the middle of the central business district, new residential developments are popping up in every corner of the capital and agents are reporting strong interest in these projects.
"The Canberra market has seen improved sentiment and increased activity," Colliers International state chief executive Paul Powderly says.
Despite public service cuts and an air of uncertainty surrounding the Canberra market, Mr Powderly says premium projects have performed exceptionally well in 2014.
He says The Pier at Kingston Foreshore and Mayfair in the city have contributed to Colliers International selling more than 200 executive apartments in the inner suburbs with an average price of $600,000.
