Welcome to a truly magical tropical-island villa experience. Ensconced on a gentle hill on the north-east of Koh Samui with breathtaking sea views, this three-bedroom pool-villa is ideal for families and groups of friends looking to relax and enjoy everything Koh Samui has to offer.
First impressions do last. And as you approach the villa you begin to get a feel for the lush greenery, beautiful beaches and stunning views that have made Koh Samui world-famous. And as you step into the villa and down into the white-walled main living room and dining area the world beyond the ceiling-high patio doors begins to emerge.
It’s natural that you will initially head straight towards the patio, the 9 metre by 4 metre private pool and the huge expanse of turquoise ocean that spreads endlessly before you. And as you gaze down to the right you see the sandy shoreline of Tong Son Bay. Few locals and even fewer visitors know about this bay and it’s right on your doorstep. And to your left you’ll start to take in the several kilometre long Big Buddha beach which stretches along the village of Bangrak and on to the well-renowned Fisherman’s Village and its myriad of restaurants, cafes, bars, market stalls and shops.
You won’t want to look away but just for a moment turn around and take in every aspect of your villa. The large patio area beside the swimming pool is paved with non-slip travertine paving stones. A form of limestone deposited by hot, mineral springs, it’s been used since the times of the ancient Romans to construct magnificent buildings like the Colosseum in Rome, the Sacré-Coeur Basilica in Paris and the Getty Center in Los Angeles.
Around the patio you’ll also see a pool-bar, a gas BBQ, blue-tooth speakers for the sound system, sun-beds, pool-side furniture, a remote-controlled awning and an outdoor shower. There are also stairs that lead down to the live-in maid’s quarters, a separate kitchen for cooking Thai cuisine and laundry facilities. Your maid will prepare the daily complimentary continental breakfast, stock up with complimentary chilled water and ensure that the villa is kept exceptionally clean and tidy during your stay.
Back through the patio sliding doors and into the daytime living area and you’ll see a large screen television with hundreds of channels should you wish to take in a movie or catch up with the news and sports. There is a very comfortable sofa and lots of cushioned chairs to relax on and the open-plan living area also has a dining table for eight, a breakfast bar and a modern fitted kitchen with all the cooking equipment, cutlery, crockery and utensils you could ever need. And the living area and kitchen is fully air-conditioned and there is also a downstairs toilet and shower room. And throughout the villa you will find tasteful, elegant and thoughtful furnishings and fixtures.
Up one flight of stairs and you have three en-suite double bedrooms. All are fully air-conditioned, all have fitted wardrobes and plenty of cupboard space and the Master Bedroom can also boast a Jacuzzi-bathtub. Two of the bedrooms have the same glorious view, from a balcony, as you witnessed on the patio and two of the bedrooms have remote-controlled blinds while the third has floor-to-ceiling heavy curtains and they all block the morning sunshine should you feel like a lie-in on occasion.
This villa also has a large locking garage that can house a car and several motorbikes and the garage also has a separate entrance to the villa for the live-in maid. There is excellent Wi-Fi throughout the villa and should you wish to entertain we can provide a professional Thai chef to prepare and serve an incredible array of regional Thai and international cuisines. And the chef can also organise a tailored in-villa cooking class for you should you wish to learn how to cook some of those delicious Thai dishes the Kingdom is famous for.
Within a 15 minute drive you can be in downtown Chaweng, the main shopping and night-life centre on the island. You can also be lying on any one of half-a-dozen beaches, be having a lazy lunch in any one of hundreds of beach-side restaurants in nearby villages, be taking in the sights of the Big Buddha temple complex or having a relaxing massage. The airport and international hospital are also within a 15 minute drive and if you hire a 4×4 in just over quarter of an hour you could be making your way into the mountainous interior of the island.
And that’s all a part of being on vacation. But this villa isn’t just your base, it’s your home. And after a day’s adventure or sightseeing trip you’ll enjoy nothing more than pouring a chilled glass of your favourite drink, sitting beside your private pool and dipping your toes in the water.
