Originally built on Louds Island circa 1890, it was floated by barge across Muscongus Bay in 1926 to where it sits today at the beginning of the Leeman Hill Rd overlooking New Harbor. New Harbor, Maine proudly retains its status as a working harbor with all the flavor of those early days. The daily hustle and bustle of lobstermen loading their bait and returning with their catch continue the rhythms New Harbor has known for over three hundred years.
