Upon entering the "Roundhouse," the landscape opens up into an expansive view with protective pine forests framing the sides and open farmland straight ahead. This dream home, housed in the former roundhouse, is quietly and privately situated on flat grassy areas, presenting a striking contrast with its clean lines in soft red brick against a black base and roof. A residence completely secluded from view and free from passing traffic.
There isn’t really a road, just two wheel tracks in the grass passing by the neighbor in the old station house. The neighbor with horses in the adjacent summer pasture. The poppies sway, and a pair of pheasants slowly stroll through the grass.
I walk through the glass doors and am greeted by a bold industrial vibe, a stylish simplicity, and tasteful interior design. Sunlight streams in through the mullioned arched windows, and I’m captivated by the gray color scheme against whitewashed wood and black-painted concrete.
