Building a 10,000sf house in one of the most exclusive resort communities in the US is easier than you might imagine. Right now there is a shortage of large lots in the Hamptons to build very large houses. 12 Lyme Lane is the last remaining opportunity to acquire a property zoned for a house as large as 10,000sf within a five minute drive to East Hampton Village shopping and restaurants. The modest 2100sf house, sits on 1.93 acres and the owners are only using 80% of the allowable clearance. Within a 100 yard radius of the property there are an eight houses that are 6000sf or larger including a 5 acre estate owned by a UBS investment banker (see satellite view of 12 Lyme Lane on Google Maps).

If a buyer closes on the purchase within the next 40 days, the buyer can enjoy using the house during the July-August summer season in the Hamptons while interviewing local architects and choosing one to plan the design and building of the new 10,000sf house before tearing down the existing structures.
