The Good Life
“Orplid” is a three-storey, cedar and brick country house built by German craftsmen on 34 acres (14 hectares) of forests, gardens, orchards and paddocks. This substantial property has its own running creek, two dams and three water tanks to collect pure Tasmanian rainwater. A large greenhouse with chrysanthemums, orchids and orange trees, a double garage and two workshops (one of which can be a separate small flat.) The orchard includes over 20 apples, peaches, nectarines, figs, lemons plus over 50 red- and blackcurrant and berry bushes. You can grow your own food, raise goats, alpacas, keep horses. Birds wake you every morning, and wallabies come to graze every evening
